Terms of service

These terms govern the use of SN Acoustics Lab Toolkit (the "Service"), an online acoustic calculation and design software operated by SN Acoustics Lab, run by Santiago Naranjo, in Colombia. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If a translation differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.

1. The Service

The Service is a web application used from the browser. It lets you calculate acoustic parameters and generate downloadable files (cut lists, assembly guides, 3D models, SVG/DXF files and PDF reports). It does not include design consulting, advisory, fabrication or installation services.

2. Account

You sign in with your email through a sign-in link. You are responsible for keeping control of your email and for the activity carried out with your account. An account is for the use of a single person.

3. Subscriptions and payments

Some features require a monthly subscription (Starter, Pro or Studio). Each plan includes a number of downloads per calendar month, which do not roll over. Extra downloads and kit documents ("Build a kit") are bought separately, as one-time purchases. The kit document is not included in any plan and does not use your subscription downloads; its purchase includes the download of the files for the elements of that kit. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles billing, invoicing and applicable taxes.

The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your customer portal; you keep access until the end of the period already paid.

4. Use of the results

You may use the calculations and files you generate in your own projects and in projects for third parties. You may not resell, redistribute or publish the software, or try to access paid features without an active subscription.

5. Nature of the results and limitation of liability

The calculations, files and reports of the Service are design predictions obtained with published acoustic models (for example Sabine, axial modes and porous-absorber models). They are not on-site measurements, certified acoustic studies or professional engineering advice.

The actual result depends on the existing construction, the materials used, the quality of fabrication and installation, and other factors SN Acoustics Lab does not control. Therefore no specific acoustic result is guaranteed.

You are responsible for verifying dimensions, materials, cut files and the conditions of your space before fabricating or installing; for using protective equipment and tools safely; for anchoring each element according to its weight and the structure it is installed on; and for complying with applicable local codes, including fire-safety codes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SN Acoustics Lab shall not be liable for direct or indirect damages, injuries, property loss, lost profits, or material or labor costs arising from the use of the results, files or documents of the Service, or from their fabrication or installation. In any case, SN Acoustics Lab’s total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to it.

For projects with critical, regulatory or commercial requirements, validate the design with an on-site measurement and an acoustics professional.

6. Changes and availability

We may update the tools, the plans and these terms. If a change affects your subscription, we will notify you by email in advance.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, without prejudice to the rights granted to you by the consumer protection law of your country of residence.
